A device (1) for generating a variable composite magnetic field comprises top and bottom concentric ring members (3, 4) which define a main central axis (5) and a central area (4) within which the composite magnetic field is formed. Rod-like permanent magnets (18) are located within respective annuli (15) of the respective ring members (2, 3), and are equi-spaced circumferentially along a pitched circle (21). The permanent magnets (18) are rotatable about corresponding secondary axes (19) which extend parallel to each other and parallel to the main central axis (5). The permanent magnets (18) are magnetised with their respective direction of magnetisation extending transversely of their secondary axes (19) and are independently rotatable by corresponding stepper motors (22) in respective of annuli (16) of the ring members (2, 3) for orienting the permanent magnets (18) about their respective secondary axes (19) for in turn altering the composite magnetic field generated in the central area (4).
L'invention concerne un dispositif (1) permettant de produire un champ magnétique composite variable, comprenant des éléments annulaires (3, 4) concentriques inférieur et supérieur qui définissent un axe central (5) principal, et une zone centrale (4) dans laquelle ledit champ magnétique composite est formé. Des aimants permanents (18) du type tige sont placés dans des parties annulaires (15) des éléments annulaires respectifs (2, 3), et montés équidistants autour d'un cercle (21) à pas commun. Ces aimants permanents (18) tournent autour d'axes secondaires (19) correspondants qui s'étendent parallèlement les uns aux autres, et parallèlement à l'axe central (5) principal. Lesdits aimants permanents (18) sont magnétisés, leur sens de magnétisation respectif s'étendant transversalement par rapport à leurs axes secondaires (19), et tournent indépendamment à l'aide de moteurs pas à pas (22) correspondants dans les parties annulaires (16) respectives des éléments annulaires (2, 3), de façon à s'orienter autour de leurs axes secondaires (19) respectifs, et à modifier à leur tour le champ magnétique composite produit dans la zone centrale (4).
