A device for monitoring the position of an oil/water contact (OWC, 22) between an oil-continuous fluid (2o) overlying a water-continuous fluid (2w) inside a casing pipe (7), comprising the following features: a transmitter (5) for a generating an electromagnetic signal (ST), said transmitter (5) provided with electrical energy (GT) from a voltage signal generator (G); said transmitter (5) being arranged inside said oil-continuous fluid (2o) and being above said oil-water contact (22), and being inside said casing pipe (7); said electromagnetic wave signal (ST) for partly propagating downwards from said transmitter (5); said electromagnetic wave signal (ST) for being partly reflected from said oil-water contact (22), and partly reflected by the end of the casing, giving rise to an upward propagating, reflected electro-magnetic signal (SR); a sensor (6) for detecting said reflected electromagnetic signal (SR), said sensor (6) also arranged above said oil-water contact (22), providing a sensor signal (RR) to a receiver (60) for receiving said sensor signal (RR) and further to an analysing device (61) for analysing said sensor signal (RR), e.g. with respect to two-way propagation time or amplitude in order for calculating an elevation level for said oil-water contact (22).
La présente invention concerne un dispositif de surveillance de la position d'un contact huile/eau (OWC,22) entre un fluide continue huile (2o) surnageant sur un fluide continu eau (2w) dans un tuyau de gainage (7), qui comprend les éléments suivants: un émetteur (5) destiné à générer un signal électromagnétique (S<SB>T</SB>), cet émetteur (5) est alimenté en énergie électrique (G<SB>T</SB>) à partir d'un générateur de signal de tension (G), cet émetteur (5) étant agencé à l'intérieur du fluide continu huile (2o) et étant au dessus du contact huile eau (22), à l'intérieur du tuyau de gainage (7). Le signal d'onde électromagnétique (S<SB>T</SB>) est destiné à être partiellement réfléchi à partir du contact huile-eau (22) et partiellement réfléchi par l'extrémité du gainage, entraînant un signal électromagnétique (S<SB>R</SB>) réfléchi se propageant vers le haut. Ce dispositif comprend aussi un capteur (6) destiné à détecter ce signal électromagnétique réfléchi (S<SB>R</SB>), ce capteur étant aussi agencé au dessus du contact huile-eau (22), qui fournit un signal de capteur (R<SB>R</SB>) à un récepteur (60) destiné à recevoir ce signal de capteur (R<SB>R</SB>), par exemple par rapport à un temps de propagation dans les deux sens ou à une amplitude de façon à calculer un niveau d'élévation du contact huile-eau (22).
