A device for passive-motion treatment of the human body comprises: a body support platform having a foot end and a head end and including a base section and a back section which is movable relative to the base section along a longitudinal axis extending between the foot end and the head end of the body support platform. Means may be provided for locking the lower body portion of a patient to the base section of the body support platform with the patient lying on the body support platform with his back resting on the back support and for applying traction to the patient's spine under the force of gravity. The back support section or at least one subsection thereof is resiliently movable relative to the base section and connected with a vibrator by which the subsection is caused to vibrate in one or more directions.
Un dispositif permettant d'imprimer un mouvement passif au corps d'un patient comprend: une plate-forme (12) destinée à soutenir le corps, qui présente un côté tête et un côté pieds et comprend une section de base (14) et une section (16) de support du dos pouvant se déplacer par rapport à la section de base (14), le long d'un axe longitudinal (L) s'étendant entre le côté tête et le côté pieds de la plate-forme (12) destinée à soutenir le corps. On peut prévoir un élément (15) qui permet de maintenir la partie inférieure du corps du patient sur la section de base (14) de la plate-forme (12) destinée à soutenir ledit corps, le patient étant couché sur ladite plate-forme en ayant le dos qui repose sur le support (16) du dos, et d'appliquer une traction à la colonne vertébrale du patient, sous l'effet de la force de gravité. La section (16) de support du dos ou au moins une de ses sous-sections (17-21) peut se déplacer à la manière d'un ressort par rapport à la section de base (14) et est reliée à un vibreur (23-29) qui imprime des vibrations à la sous-section concernée dans une ou plusieurs directions.
