A device for producing a scaled stream with a control- lable scaled-stream thickness has a sheet guiding device for receiving therein a stack of sheets, a first transport means, which has a selectively operable or controllable drive, which engages only the lower surface of the stack of sheets and which is arranged relative to the stack of sheets in such a way that the stack of sheets rests thereon with at least a first part of its weight, a second transport means, which is arranged behind the first transport means when seen in the direction of the stream of sheets, which is arranged relative to the stack of sheets in such a way that, when the second transport means is operated without operating the first transport means, it will transport only sheets which have already been drawn out of the stack of sheets by the first transport means, and which is also arranged relative to the stack of sheets in such a way that the stack of sheets rests thereon only with a second part of its weight, the second part of its weight being small in comparison with the first part; a scaled-stream thickness detection device for detecting the scaled-stream thickness, which operates or controls the drive of the first transport means in response to the detected scaled-stream thickness.
Ce dispositif comprend: un dispositif de guidage de feuilles (2) servant à recevoir une pile (3) de feuilles; un premier dispositif de transport (8) qui présente un organe d'entraînement pouvant être au choix actionné ou commandé, vient en contact uniquement avec la partie inférieure de la pile de feuilles (3) et est disposé par rapport à cette pile (3) de telle sorte que la pile (3) appuie avec au moins une première partie de son poids sur ledit dispositif de transport; un deuxième dispositif de transport (9, 10, 12) qui est disposé, dans le sens du flux des feuilles, en amont du premier dispositif de transport (8) et est disposé par rapport à la pile (3) de sorte que, lorsqu'il est actionné mais que le premier dispositif de transport (8) ne l'est pas, seules soient transportées les feuilles déjà retirées de la pile (3) par le premier dispositif de transport (8), et est disposé en outre, par rapport à la pile (3), de sorte que cette dernière appuie sur le dispositif de transport uniquement avec une deuxième partie de son poids, inférieure à la première partie; un dispositif (17) qui sert à détecter l'épaisseur du flux de nappes, et actionne ou commande l'entraînement du premier dispositif de transport (8) en fonction de l'épaisseur détectée.
