The present invention relates to a device for temporarily shielding the end of a surgical instrument sharp. The device comprises a housing (1) having a proximal end and a distal end. An opening (3) is formed in the distal end of the housing for receiving an end of a surgical instrument sharp (7) therethrough. A body (5) located in the housing is movable between a first position in which an end of the body obstructs the opening and a second position in which the body is retracted from the opening. A resilient means (8) is provided for biassing the body into the first position. The device further comprises actuation means (10) to move the body against the action of the resilient means into the second position.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif pour protéger provisoirement l'extrémité d'une partie effilée d'un instrument chirurgical. Le dispositif comprend un boîtier (1) qui possède une extrémité proximale et une extrémité distale. Une ouverture (3) est formée à l'extrémité distale du boîtier de manière à recevoir une extrémité d'une partie effilée d'un instrument chirurgical (7). Un corps (5) disposé dans le boîtier peut se déplacer entre une première position dans laquelle une extrémité dudit corps obstrue l'ouverture et une deuxième position dans laquelle le corps est retiré de l'ouverture. Un moyen souple (8) est destiné à solliciter le corps et à le mettre dans une première position. Le dispositif comprend également un moyen d'actionnement (10) destiné à déplacer le corps sous l'action du moyen souple et à le mettre dans la deuxième position.
