In a device for welding structures, such as motor-vehicle bodies or parts thereof (for example, sides), constituted by loosely preassembled, pressed sheet-metal elements, a station for welding the elements includes two rotary drums for rapidly changing the frames for positioning the elements to be welded in the operative position, according to the type of structure to be welded. The various positioning frames are rotated by rotors and guided on annular tracks on each rotary drum. A sector of each annular track can be separated and moved along a line transverse the conveyor line for the structures to be welded in order to bring a certain positioning frame into the operative position.
Cette invention concerne une installation de soudage de carrosseries ou de pièces de carrosserie d'automobile (des parois latérales par exemple) formées de panneaux métalliques emboutis préassemblés de manière lâche. L'installation comporte un poste de soudage à deux tambours rotatifs de changement rapide de cadres de positionnement des panneaux à souder, selon le type d'assemblage soudé à réaliser. La rotation des divers cadres de positionnement est assurée par des rotors et leur guidage se fait au moyen de piste annulaire ménagée dans les tambours. Un secteur de chaque piste annulaire peut être séparé et déplacé transversalement à la chaîne de soudage pour entraîner un cadre de positionnement au bon endroit pour le soudage.
