An electromagnetic radiation emitter (12) which utilizes a precompensator (14), pulsed light signal, optical fiber cable (18), and a terahertz radiation generator (16). The present invention incorporates an optical precompensator (14) to correct for the stretching of an optical signal as it travels through an optical fiber cable (18). The dispersion characteristics of the precompensator (14) will be equal and opposite to the dispersion characteristics of the optical fiber cable, maintaining the fidelity of optical pulses as they travel through and exit the optical fiber cable (18) striking a device that generates terahertz electromagnetic radiation (16).
L'invention concerne un émetteur (12) de rayonnement électromagnétique qui utilise un précompensateur (14), un signal optique impulsionnel, un câble (18) à fibres optiques, et un appareil (16) produisant un rayonnement térahertz. La présente invention incorpore un précompensateur (14) optique pour corriger l'allongement d'un signal optique lorsque celui-ci traverse un câble (18) à fibres optiques.
