In the field of retail displays there is a need for improvements to vertical, tiered displays primarily intended for laminar articles. A modular display (10) includes upper (11) and lower (16) modules. Each module has a pair of upstanding walls (12, 13, 17, 18) spaced from one another to define an open ended receptacle. The lower end of an upper module (11) and an upper part of lower module (16) have mutually engageable connector parts for connecting the modules together. This avoids the need for connector parts engageable with the free, upper edge of a wall (12, 17).
