In the field of retail displays there is a need for improvements to vertical, tiered displays primarily intended for laminar articles. A modular display (10) includes upper (11) and lower (12) modules connected to one another. Each module has an upstanding wall (13, 16) and is of L-shaped cross section. The upstanding wall (16) of each lower module 12 is secured to the protruding wall 914) of the upper module (11) below the upper edge of the wall (16). The upstanding walls (13, 16) are thus in use spaced from one another to define an open ended receptacle. The lower end of an upper module (11) and an upper part of lower module (12) have mutually engageable connector parts for connecting the modules together. This avoids the need for connector parts engageable with the free, upper edge of a wall (13, 16).
