The docking assembly comprises a plug 1 formed at the proximal end 2 of the guidewire 3, and a socket formed of a tubing 4 permanently bent so as to have a V shaped portion 5 comprised between two straight portions 6 and 7. The end of straight portion 7 is affixed to the distal end of extension wire 9. A sleeve 10 is slidably engaged over the tubing 4 to substantially straighten it and facilitate insertion of plug 1 into the tubing. Removal of sleeve 10 allows the tubing to recover its preshaped deformation, thereby assuring locking of plug 1 in tubing 4. To release the assembly it suffices to pull the guidewire and extension wire oppositely to slip the plug 1 out from the tubing 4.

L'ensemble de jonction comprend un élément mâle 1 formé au bout proximal 2 du fil-guide 3 et un élément femelle formé d'un tube 4 plié de façon permanente de manière à avoir une partie en V 5 comprise entre deux parties droites 6 et 7. Le bout de la partie droite 7 est fixé au bout distal du fil de rallonge 9. Un manchon 10 est en prise de façon coulissante par-dessus le tube 4 pour le redresser substantiellement et facilier l'introduction de l'élément mâle 1 dans le tube. L'enlèvement du manchon permet au tube de retrouver sa déformation préfaçonnée, ce qui assure le blocage de l'élément mâle 1 dans le tube 4. Pour dégager l'ensemble, ilsuffit de tirer le fil-guide et le fil de rallonge en sens opposés pour faire glisser l'élément mâle 1 hors du tube 4.
