A door (10) is constructed from a pair of identical plastics subunits (11, 18), each subunit (11, 18) having an outer plastics skin (14) with a plurality of upstanding formations (12, 19) arranged on the inwardly facing surface (13, 20) thereof. The door (10) is assembled by aligning the upstanding formations (12, 19) on the pair of plastics subunits (11, 18), followed by bonding them together with adhesive along the but-joints (21). The structure of the door (10) gives it a greater strength than a corresponding conventional plastics laminate door with a low-density polyurethane core, without adding to the overall weight of the door (10).
L'invention concerne une porte (10) fabriquée à partir d'une paire de sous-unités plastiques identiques (11, 18), chaque sous-unité (11, 18) comportant un revêtement plastique extérieur (14), une pluralité d'éléments verticaux (12, 19) étant disposés sur la surface orientée vers l'intérieur (13, 20) dudit revêtement. La porte (10) selon l'invention est assemblée par alignement des éléments verticaux (12, 19) sur la paire de sous-unités plastiques (11, 18), puis par leur liaison au moyen d'un adhésif, le long de joints d'aboutement (21). Cette structure confère à la porte (10) une résistance supérieure à celle des portes en stratifiés plastiques classiques correspondantes. Le noyau polyuréthanne de ladite structure présente une faible densité et le poids total de la porte (10) n'est pas accru.
