The invention relates to a drive device for rotating tools operating with oscillation superimposition exhibiting a drive housing 11, a carrier sleeve 15 mounted rotatably therein, a drive shaft 13 mounted rotatably therein, a tool carrier 16A, 16B to receive working tools and an oscillation-generating arrangement for generating the oscillation superimposition for the one or more tool carriers 16A, 16B. In order to simplify the bearing and the sealing of the drive shaft and the carrier sleeve in the drive devices and the tools operating with impact superimposition, and to increase the service life of the drive devices and in particular the tools equipped with these, the oscillation-generating arrangement for each tool carrier 16A, 16B exhibits in accordance with the invention at least two intermediate shafts 30, which shafts are connected in each case to the tool carrier 16A, 16B via an eccentric component part 32 and are capable of being driven in a synchronous fashion.
