An acoustical ceiling tile having an improved sound absorption value and having a dual layer of acoustical materials. The base mat layer has either no mineral wool or a low mineral wool content. The surface layer has a high mineral wool content which provides improved sound absorption values with or without perforating or fissuring the tile. The dual layer acoustical ceiling tile has a noise reduction coefficient (NCR) value of at least about 0.50.
L'invention concerne une dalle de plafond insonorisante, présentant un coefficient d'absorption acoustique et comportant deux couches de matériau insonorisant. La couche formant le mat de base est dépourvue de laine minérale ou présente une faible teneur en laine minérale. La couche de surface présente une teneur élevée en laine minérale, ce qui permet d'obtenir un coefficient d'absorption acoustique amélioré avec ou sans perforation ou fissuration de la dalle. Cette dalle de plafond insonorisante à deux couches présente un coefficient d'insonorisation d'au moins 0,50 environ.
