A clustered enterprise JavaTM distributed processing system is provided. The distributed processing system includes a first and a second computer coupled to a communication medium. The first computer includes a JavaTM virtual machine (JVM) (354) and kemel (355) software layer for transferring messages, including a remote JavaTM virtual machine (RJVM) (356). The second computer includes a JVM and a kemel software layer having an RJVM. Messages are passed from an RJVM to the JVM in one computer to the JVM and RJVM in the second computer. Messages may be forwarded through an intermediate server (302 and 303) or rerouted after a network reconfiguration. Each load balancing software component (362) and a failover software component. Each computer includes a duplicated service naming tree for storing a pool of Smart stubs at a node. The computers may be programmed in a stateless, stateless factory, or a stateful programming model. The clustered enterprise JavaTM distributed processing system allows for enhanced scalability and fault tolerance.
L'invention décrit un système de traitement réparti Java3 en grappes pour entreprises. Ce système de traitement réparti comporte un premier et un second ordinateur couplé à un support de communication. Le premier ordinateur comprend une machine virtuelle Java3 (JVM) (354) et une couche fonctionnelle à noyau permettant le transfert de messages et comportant une machine virtuelle Java3 à distance (RJVM) (356). Le second ordinateur comprend une JVM et une couche fonctionnelle à noyau comportant une RJVM. Les messages sont transférés de la JVM à la RJVM du premier ordinateur puis aux JVM et RJVM du second ordinateur. Les messages peuvent être acheminés via un serveur intermédiaire (302 et 303) ou réacheminés suite à une nouvelle configuration du réseau. Chaque RJVM comprend une composante (362) logicielle d'équilibrage de charge et une composante logicielle de reprise. Chaque ordinateur comprend un arbre de dénomination des services double permettant de stocker dans un noeud un paquet de modules de remplacement à mémoire. Les ordinateurs peuvent être programmés en usine sans état ou selon un modèle de programmation avec état. Le système de traitement réparti Java3 en grappes pour entreprises permet une variabilité d'échelle et une tolérance aux anomalies accrues.
