A fabric article treating device (5) for dispensing benefit composition to a fabric article treating appliance. The device includes a housing (15) which contains a reservoir (20) , an energy harvesting system (70), an energy storing device (25), a fluid handling system (50) and a control unit (30). The reservoir contains a benefit composition. The control unit is adapted to control dispensing of benefit composition from the device utilizing the fluid handling system. The energy harvesting system is adapted to convert mechanical or thermal energy into electrical energy.
