A feeder adapter for mounting a header on a feeder housing of a combine, the feeder adapter having a housing with an inlet positionable immediately behind a rear feed draper of the header and an outlet which is of a size and shape to match with a forward facing inlet of the feeder housing. The housing of the feeder adapter contains a feeder drum of the retractable finger type mounted for rotation on a transverse axis above a floor surface of the housing so as to engage the cut crop delivered to the rear end of the rearward feed draper and propel it into the outlet opening and thus into the inlet of the feeder housing. The feeder adapter has a subframe for attaching the feeder adapter to the feeder housing and attachment members for suspending the header from the subframe.
Adaptateur d'alimentation permettant de relier le collecteur et le bâti d'alimentateur d'une moissonneuse-batteuse, l'adaptateur d'alimentation étant muni d'un bâti avec une entrée positionnable immédiatement derrière un convoyeur à toile à alimentation arrière de la moissonneuse-batteuse et une sortie de forme et de dimension permettant de s'ajuster à une entrée dirigée vers l'avant du bâti d'alimentateur. Le bâti de l'adaptateur de l'alimentateur comporte un tambour d'alimentateur du type peigne escamotable monté pour tourner sur un axe transversal situé au-dessus d'une surface du plancher du bâti de façon à guider la culture coupée livrée à l'extrémité arrière du convoyeur à toile à alimentation arrière et à la pousser vers l'ouverture de sortie, donc dans l'entrée du bâti d'alimentateur. L'adaptateur d'alimentation a un faux cadre pour fixer l'adaptateur d'alimentation au bâti d'alimentateur et des éléments de fixation pour suspendre le collecteur au faux cadre.
