The invention discloses a method and an apparatus for exact metering and volumetric filling of dry powder medicament doses into preformed containers, which are adapted for administration by means of a dry powder inhaler (DPI). The filling apparatus of the invention includes at least a bulk powder source (401), a feeding chamber (134) and a receptacle (110) providing the volume for a specified load mass (202) of dry powder. The bulk powder source releases a portion of powder discontinuously to the feeding chamber, but is disconnected from the feeding chamber and receptacle during the filling operation. The filling apparatus further presents a plane surface (103) in contact with the movable feeding chamber and provides a hard-wearing, low friction coating for reducing dynamic friction and powder retention.
L'invention se rapporte à un procédé et à un appareil de mesure exacte et de remplissage volumétrique de doses de médicaments à base de poudre sèche, dans des contenants préformés qui sont conçus pour être administrés au moyen d'un inhalateur de poudre sèche (DPI). L'appareil de remplissage de l'invention comprend au moins une source de poudre en vrac (401), une chambre d'alimentation (134) et un réceptacle (110) constituant un volume pour une masse de charge spécifiée (202) de poudre sèche. La source de poudre en vrac libère une partie de la poudre de manière discontinue à destination de la chambre d'alimentation, mais est déconnectée de ladite chambre d'alimentation et du réceptacle au cours de l'opération de remplissage. Cet appareil de remplissage présente par ailleurs une surface plane (103) en contact avec la chambre d'alimentation et qui constitue un revêtement à coefficient de frottement réduit et résistant à l'usure permettant de réduire le frottement dynamique et la rétention de poudre.
