The flexible sheet foam may be located across or between wooden members which define the structure of the home. The sheet foam reduces energy losses between the interior of the home and the outdoors as a result of thermal conduction through wooden members of the home. The sheet foam may be fabricated by extruding a thermoplastic polymeric resin, and foamed by expansion or blowing agents.
