The method includes flowing a liquid into a housing, diverting the liquid within the housing, contacting an impeller member with the diverted liquid for operating a cam assembly, and alternately distributing the liquid from the housing by operation of the cam assembly. A non-electrical diverter assembly for receiving and alternately distributing a liquid. The diverter assembly has a housing, a diverter device, a transmission assembly, a drive assembly, and a cam assembly.
