A forming apparatus (10) is disclosed for forming a web from a primary (12), a secondary (14), and a further (16) source of stock. The apparatus includes a looped fourdrinier wire (18) having an upstream (20) and a downstream (22) end. A primary headbox (24) is disposed adjacent to the upstream end (20) of the fourdrinier wire (18) for ejecting the stock (12) from the primary source of stock onto the fourdrinier wire (18) between the ends thereof so that a first ply (26) of the web is disposed on the fourdrinier wire (18). A twin wire former is disposed downstream relative to the primary headbox, the twin wire former (28) including a first (30) and second (32) looped wire which cooperate with each other to define therebetween a twin wire forming section (34). The first wire (30) also defines a preforming zone (36) disposed upstream relative to the twin wire forming section (34). A secondary headbox (38) is disposed adjacent to the preforming zone (36) for ejecting the stock (14) from the secondary source of stock so that a second ply (40) of the web is disposed on the preforming zone (36). The arrangement is such that the second ply (40) is carried by the second looped wire (32) towards and onto the first ply (26). A further looped wire (42) is disposed downstream relative to the twin wire former (28), the further wire (42) cooperating with the fourdrinier wire (18) for forming therebetween a further forming section (44). A further headbox (46) is disposed adjacent to the fourdrinier wire (18) for ejecting stock (16) from the further source of stock so that a third ply (48) of the web is disposed on the second ply (40).
L'invention concerne un appareil de formage (10) destiné au formage d'une bande continue à partir d'une source primaire (12), d'une source secondaire (14) et d'une autre (16) source de pâte. L'appareil comprend une table plate en boucle (18) comportant une extrémité en amont (20) et une extrémité en aval (22). Une caisse de tête primaire (24) est disposée de manière contiguë à l'extrémité en amont (20) de la table plate (18) de manière à éjecter la pâte (12) de la source primaire de pâte sur la table plate (18) située entre les extrémités de cette dernière de telle sorte qu'un premier jet (26) de la bande continue soit disposé sur la table plate (18). Une machine à double toile est disposée en aval par rapport à la caisse de tête primaire, la machine à deux toiles (28) comprenant une première (30) et une deuxième (32) toile en boucle coopérant l'une avec l'autre pour définir entre elles une section de formage de double toile (34). La première toile (30) définit également une zone de préformage (36) disposée en amont par rapport à la section de formage de double toile (34). Une caisse de tête secondaire (38) est disposée de manière contiguë à la zone de préformage (36) de manière à éjecter la pâte (14) de la source de pâte secondaire de telle sorte qu'un deuxième jet (40) de bande continue soit disposé sur la zone de préformage (36). L'opération s'effectue de telle manière que le deuxième jet (40) soit transporté par la deuxième toile en boucle (32) vers et sur le premier jet (26). Une autre toile en boucle (42) est disposée en aval par rapport à la machine à double toile (28), l'autre toile (42) coopérant avec la table plate (18) pour former entre elles une autre section de formage (44). Une autre caisse de tête (46) est disposée de manière contiguë à la table plate (18) pour éjecter la pâte (16) de l'autre source de pâte de telle sorte qu'un troisième jet (48) de la bande continue soit disposé sur le deuxième jet (40).
