The invention provides a frame (20) for supporting a manhole cover (22); the frame (20) comprising an upstanding peripheral wall (28); support means (40, 42) extending inwardly from at least part of the wall for supporting the manhole cover (22); and an outer flange (30) extending outwardly from a lower part of the wall for anchoring the frame (20) in the ground; the outer flange (30) having disposed over an upper surface thereof a plurality of protrusions or recesses (44) for enhancing the anchoring of the flange (30) and stiffening the frame (20) against bending. Also provided is a manhole cover assembly comprising the frame (20) and a manhole cover (22), and a manhole installation comprising a manhole having a layer of mortar surrounding the mouth thereof, a frame (20) as defined being set into the mortar, and a cover (22) being removably mounted in the frame.
L'invention a trait à un cadre (20) destiné à soutenir un tampon de regard (22). Ce cadre (20) comporte une paroi périphérique saillante (28); des organes de support (40, 42) s'étendant vers l'intérieur à partir d'au moins une partie de ladite paroi et ce, en vue de soutenir ledit tampon de regard (22); et une bride externe (30) s'étendant vers l'extérieur à partir d'une partie inférieure de la paroi et ce, dans le but de fixer ledit cadre (20) dans le sol. Une série de protubérances ou d'évidements (44) se trouvent sur une surface supérieure de cette bride extérieure (30) aux fins d'accroître l'ancrage de ladite bride (30) et de renforcer le cadre (20) contre le fléchissement. L'invention concerne également un ensemble tampon de regard comportant le cadre (20) et un tampon de regard (22). Enfin, l'invention se rapporte à un ensemble regard dont la gueule est bordée d'une couche de mortier; un cadre (20), tel que défini ci-dessus, étant positionné dans ce mortier et un tampon (22) fixé amovible audit cadre.
