The garage door opener has a user interface (230) and a motor (206) operatively connected to the garage door (110), at least one sensor, and an integrated motor control circuit (201). The integrated motor control circuit (201) has a motor control microprocessor (204) and a memory (212). The memory (212) contains previous operation data. The motor control microprocessor (204) receives data from the user interface (230), the memory (212) and the sensors to control the motor (206).
