The present invention relates to a gas detecting arrangement (1) that comprises of a gas cell (2), which includes a cavity (2~), a gas-cell-related light source (5), a gas-cell-related light detector (7) and a controlling and computing unit (6), wherein the unit is adapted for initiating (5a) activation of the light source (5) and also to evaluate the presence and/or the concentration of a gas and/or a gas mixture (G) enclosed in the cell cavity (2~) in response to light-detector-related signals (7a) received from the light detector (7). The gas cell (2) is structured as a very small or narrow slot and/or a channel (10) in a circuit board (9~) or in a printed circuit board (9) on which components have been mounted, and an opening (11) related to the channel (10) in said circuit board or surface-mounted board is covered by a lid-functioning element (12). The slot and/or the channel shall have a very narrow width which is adapted to correspond to, or at least correspond generally to, the width of a coiled incandescent filament (5~) in the lamp used in said light source (5), whereas the height of said filament shall correspond to the length of the coiled filament (5~).
L~invention concerne un dispositif de détection de gaz (1) comprenant une cellule de gaz (2), comportant une cavité (2´), une source de lumière (5) liée à la cellule de gaz, un capteur de lumière (7) lié à la cellule de gaz et un module de commande et de calcul (6), le module étant conçu pour déclencher (5a) l~activation de la source de lumière (5) et pour évaluer la présence et/ou la concentration d~un gaz et/ou d~un mélange de gaz (G) contenu dans la cavité (2´) de la cellule en réponse à des signaux (7a) reçus du capteur de lumière (7). La cellule de gaz (2) prend la forme d~une fente et/ou d~un canal très petit(e) ou étroit(e) (10) dans une carte à circuit (9´) ou dans une carte à circuit imprimé (9) sur laquelle ont été montés des composants, et une ouverture (11) reliée au canal (10) dans la carte à circuit ou la carte montée en surface est recouverte d~un élément formant couvercle (12). La fente et/ou le canal possède une largeur très étroite conçue pour correspondre, au moins partiellement, à la largeur d~un filament incandescent boudiné (5´) dans la lampe utilisée dans la source de lumière (5). La hauteur du filament boudiné (5´) correspond à sa longueur.
