This lighter (I) of the type comprising a reservoir for containing liquefied petroleum gas, a valve (3) mounted on the reservoir and permitting the gas to leave the same, a valve opening mechanism (4, 5), as well as an ignition system comprising a flint (6) co-operating with a spark wheel (7) rotationally operated by at least one circular thumb wheel (10) mounted co-axially with the spark wheel. This lighter is characterised in that each thumb wheel (10) is independent of the spark wheel (7) and can pivot around its axis independently of the spark wheel, and in that rotational frictional engaging means are provided between the spark wheel and the at least one thumb wheel (10) when a force is exercised on the thumb wheel with a radial component having a value greater than a pre-determined value.
L'invention porte sur un briquet (I) comportant un réservoir de gaz liquéfié, une soupape (3) montée sur le réservoir et permettant au gaz d'en sortir, un mécanisme d'ouverture de la soupape (4, 5), ainsi qu'un système d'allumage comportant un silex (6) coopérant avec une molette d'allumage (7) entraînée en rotation par au moins une molette (10) d'entraînement actionnable par le pouce et lui étant coaxiale. Le briquet de caractérise par l'indépendance de la molette (10) d'entraînement qui peut tourner autour de son axe indépendamment de la molette d'allumage (7), et par un moyen rotatif d'embrayage à friction reliant la molette d'entraînement à la molette d'allumage (10) et qui s'enclenche lorsqu'une force est exercée par le pouce sur la molette d'entraînement avec une composante radiale qui dépasse une valeur prédéterminée.
