The invention relates to a spark wheel type gas lighter comprising a lighter body, a reservoir, a valve permitting gas to leave the reservoir, an ignition system comprising a pyrophoric flint co-operating with a spark wheel and a spring maintaining the flint against the spark wheel, a lever pivotally mounted on an axis essentially parallel to the axis of rotation of the spark wheel and co-operating with the valve and the axis of the lever (3, 103) is mounted movably with respect to the body (1, 101) of the lighter between an active position permitting the operation of the valve (2, 102) mounted on the reservoir and a rest position in which action on the lever (3, 103) does not permit operation of the valve (2, 102), the spark wheel (6, 106) can be displaced with respect to the body (1, 101) of the lighter, and operate the lever (3, 103) in its movement, and elastic means (4, 8, 104, 108) act on the lever (3, 103) and/or on the spark wheel (6, 106) to return them to a position of rest in which the lever (3, 103) does not act on the valve (2, 102). The body (1, 101) of the lighter may comprise two oblong openings (13, 113), each receiving a spindle of the pivoting lever which are "V" shaped, the point of the "V" being located next to the spark wheel (6, 106) and in that the spindles (12, 112) of the pivoting lever (3, 103) are located at the level of the point of the "V" in the rest position of the lever, and at the level of the end of the branch (16) of the "V" located next to the valve (2, 102) in the active position of the lever (3, 103). The pivoting lever (3, 103) comprises an abutting face (18, 118) which acts against a counter-abutting face (19, 119) integral with the body (1, 101) of the lighter when the lever is in its rest position, thus preventing pivoting of the lever, and does not abut in the active position of the lever, thus permitting pivoting of the lever and operation of the valve (2, 102).
L'invention concerne un briquet à gaz tu type à molette à étincelles, comprenant un corps, un réservoir, une soupape permettant au gaz de sortir du réservoir, un système d'allumage comprenant une pierre pyrophorique agissant conjointement avec une molette à étincelles et un ressort maintenant la pierre contre la molette, un levier monté pivotant sur un axe essentiellement parallèle à l'axe de rotation de ladite molette et agissant conjointement avec la soupape, et l'axe du levier (3, 103) étant monté mobile par rapport au corps (1, 101) du briquet entre une position active permettant l'actionnement de la soupape (2, 102) montée sur le réservoir et une position de repos dans laquelle l'action sur le levier (3, 103) ne permet pas l'actionnement de la soupape (2, 102). La molette (6, 106) peut être déplacée par rapport au corps (1, 101) du briquet et actionne le levier (3, 103) lorsqu'elle est tournée. Ledit briquet comporte également un moyen élastique (4, 8, 104, 108) qui agit sur le levier (3, 103) et/ou sur la molette (6, 106) pour les remettre dans une position de repos dans laquelle le levier (3, 103) n'agit pas sur la soupape (2, 102). Le corps (1, 101) du briquet peut comprendre deux ouvertures oblongues (13, 113) recevant chacune une tige en forme de V du levier pivotant, la pointe du V étant située à proximité de la molette (6, 606) et les tiges (12, 112) du levier pivotant (3, 103) étant situées au niveau de la pointe du V lorsque le levier est en position de repos, et au niveau de l'extrémité de la branche (16) du V située à proximité de la soupape (2, 102) lorsque le levier (3, 103) est en position active. Le levier pivotant (3, 103) comporte une face de butée (18, 118) qui vient buter contre une face de contre-butée (19, 119) faisant partie intégrante du corps (1, 101) du briquet lorsque le levier est en position de repos, ce qui empêche ainsi le levier de pivoter, et qui ne bute pas lorsque le levier est en position active, ce qui permet le pivotement du levier et l'actionnement de la soupape (2, 102).
