ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A gas turbine power plant has a mixed-flow compressor and a mixed-flow diffuser adjacent thereto. The mixed-flow diffuser lies within the combustion chambers that are in an annular arrangement and supplies these with compressor air in counter-flow from the radial inner side. Gas turbine power plants of this kind are more compact and operate more effectively than turbine power plants with radial compressors.
