The invention relates to a novel group of .alpha.-amylases, belonging to a common sequence region and proteins sufficiently similar to said .alpha.- amylases with amylolytic function, methods for production thereof and diverse possible applications for said amylolytic proteins, in particular in washing and cleaning agents. The invention further relates to a PCR-based method for identification and production of novel .alpha.-amylases from isolated genomic DNA, in particular from DNA isolated from collections of micro-organisms and particular primer oligonucleotides and application thereof in said method.
L'invention concerne un nouveau groupe d'.alpha.-amylases appartenant à un espace de séquence commun, ainsi que des protéines à fonction amylolytique suffisamment analogues à ces .alpha.-amylases, un procédé d'obtention de ces composés et diverses possibilités d'utilisation de ces protéines amylolytiques, en particulier dans des agents de lavage et des détergents. L'invention concerne également un procédé à base PCR, permettant l'identification et l'obtention de nouvelles .alpha.-amylases à partir d'ADN génomique isolé, en particulier à partir d'ADN isolé à partir de collections de micro-organismes, ainsi que des oligonucléotides d'amorçage et leur utilisation dans un tel procédé.
