A hair clip comprises a body (1), jaws (2, 3) mounted on the body and a jaw opening arrangement to allow the jaws to be opened single handed. The jaws have tines (2c, 3c) and are mounted at spaced positions on the body so as to be pivotable at the positions to resiliently grip hair in the tines. The spacing of the pivot positions on the body enables a body to be used which can be decorated or hollow to enhance the aesthetics of the hair clip.

La présente invention a trait à une pince à cheveux comportant un corps, des mâchoires montées sur le corps et un dispositif d'ouverture de mâchoires pour permettre l'ouverture des mâchoires d'une seule main. Les mâchoires présentent des dents et sont montées à des positions espacées sur le corps de manière à être pivotantes aux dites positions pour la préhension élastique des cheveux dans les dents.
