ABSTRACT In hand controls for mounting on the handlebars of passenger vehicles, a thumb operated control lever mounted adjacent to a hand grip member in such fashion that the thumb lever motion will substantially conform in it's motion to the natural pivotal motion of the operator's thumb, as the operator maintains a firm finger and palmal grasp of the hand grip member, and further that the control assembly may have progressive control engagement and may be rotatably mounted about the handlebar axis.
