The invention relates to a hand-held device (1) for transferring a film (6) of for example adhesive, covering or coloured material from a backing tape (7) onto a substrate (8), said device having a housing (2) in which a supply (9) of the backing tape (7) is arranged and an application member (4) which projects from the housing (2) and has a first and a second application edge (5a, 5b), the backing tape (7) being wound around the free end and the application edges (5a, 5b) of the application member (4) and extending into the housing (2) with tape sections (7a, 7b) at the lower longitudinal side (11a) facing the substrate (8) during the mode of operation and at the upper longitudinal side (11b) opposite said lower longitudinal side (11a). For improvement of the view to the film application during the mode of operation, the second application edge (5b) projects from the lower longitudinal side (11a) of the application member (4).
Cette invention concerne un appareil portatif (1) servant à transférer un film (6), par exemple d'un matériau adhésif, de revêtement ou coloré, d'un ruban de support (7) à un substrat (8). L'appareil comprend un boîtier (2) dans lequel une unité (9) du ruban de support (7) est montée; et un applicateur (4) qui prolonge le boîtier (2) et présente une première et une seconde arêtes d'application (5a, 5b). Le ruban de support (7) est enroulé autour de l'extrémité libre et des arêtes d'application (5a, 5b) de l'applicateur (4) et s'étend à l'intérieur du boîtier (2). Pendant l'utilisation, les segments de ruban (7a, 7b) situés sur le côté longitudinal inférieur (11a) font face au substrat (8); et sont opposés audit côté longitudinal inférieur (11a) sur le côté longitudinal supérieur (11b). Pour améliorer le contrôle visuel pendant l'application du film, la seconde arête d'application (5b) prolonge le côté longitudinal inférieur (11a) de l'applicateur (4).
