A handheld diagnostic test device includes a port to removably receive a test cartridge, an element connected with an electronic device, and sensors for detection of test data from a biological or environment sample after reaction with reagents onboard the cartridge. The test device also includes memory storing algorithms for upload to the electronic device to enable a processor thereof: to await elapse of a pre-determined time following reaction of the sample with the reagents; to thereafter instruct the sensors to detect the test data; to generate presentation data based on the test data; and to present the presentation data from a presentation element of the electronic device to a user. A related method includes a connecting step, an uploading step, a presentation step, a cartridge inserting step, a waiting step, a sensing step, and an electronic device processing step.
L'invention concerne un dispositif portatif de test de diagnostic comprenant un orifice destiné à recevoir de façon amovible une cartouche de test, un élément relié à un dispositif électronique et des capteurs servant à détecter des données de test issues d'un échantillon biologique ou environnemental après réaction avec des réactifs incorporés à la cartouche. Le dispositif de test comprend également des algorithmes de stockage en mémoire prévus pour : être chargés sur le dispositif électronique afin d'activer un processeur de celui-ci; attendre qu'une durée prédéterminée s'écoule suite à la réaction de l'échantillon avec les réactifs; donner ensuite aux capteurs la consigne de détecter les données de test; générer des données de présentation sur la base des données de test; et présenter les données de présentation à un utilisateur à partir d'un élément de présentation du dispositif électronique. Un procédé associé comporte une étape de connexion, une étape de chargement, une étape de présentation, une étape d'insertion de la cartouche, une étape d'attente, une étape de détection et une étape de traitement du dispositif électronique.
