The handle of the present invention is for a personal care implement, especially for a toothbrush. The handle has distal and proximal ends, the distal end being connected to, or adapted to connect to, a grooming head. The handle comprises: a) a first grip portion (2), adjacent the proximal end of the handle, for holding in the user's hand, the first grip portion having an ovoid cross-section which has a major axis and a minor axis; b) a second grip portion (3), for manipulation by the user's fingers, extending from the first grip portion in the direction of the distal end of the handle, and having, at least in a region adjacent the first grip portion, an elliptical cross-section which has a major axis and a minor axis. The major axis of the second grip portion is perpendicular to the major axis of the first grip portion. The handle is comfortable to hold, provides a firm grip and facilitates manipulation, particularly rotation, by the user.
La présente invention se rapporte à un manche destiné à un dispositif d'hygiène personnelle, notamment à une brosse à dents. Ce manche comporte une extrémité proximale et une extrémité distale, ladite extrémité distale étant reliée, ou conçue pour être reliée, à une tête de brossage. Ledit manche comporte a) une première partie de préhension (2), adjacente à son extrémité proximale et conçue pour être saisie par la main d'un utilisateur, ladite première partie de préhension possédant une section transversale ovoïde dotée d'un axe majeur et d'un axe mineur; b) une seconde partie de préhension (3), conçue pour être manipulée par les doigts de l'utilisateur, qui prolonge la première partie de préhension en direction de l'extrémité distale de la poignée et possède, au moins dans une région adjacente à la première partie de préhension, une section transversale elliptique dotée d'un axe majeur et d'un axe mineur. L'axe majeur de la seconde partie de préhension est perpendiculaire à l'axe majeur de la première partie de préhension. Ce manche est agréable à tenir et il assure une bonne préhension par l'utilisateur tout en conférant à ce dernier une grande facilité de manipulation et notamment de rotation.
