The invention relates to a heat treatment oven (10) comprising a loading or treatment zone (30), at least one gas inlet (22), a gas preheater chamber (50) situated in the oven between the gas inlet (22) and the loading or treatment zone (30), a susceptor comprising at least a side wall (12) surrounding the preheater chamber (50) and the loading or treatment zone (30), and a field winding (18) suitable for heating the side wall (12) by induction. The portion (121) of the side wall (12) of the susceptor that is situated around the preheater chamber (50) presents at least two recesses (1210) spaced apart circumferentially from one another so as to form portions of reduced thickness in said portion of the side wall.
