A clutch having a helical clutch coil employing an axially moveable actuator. The actuator brings a teaser element into contact with a relatively rotationally moving element such that the teaser element drags against the moving element causing the teaser to rotate with respect to the rest of the clutch. One end of the helical clutch coil, being in rotational communication with the teaser, also rotates while the other end of the helical clutch coil is fixed, resulting in an expansion of the helical clutch coil into an interior clutch surface.
L'invention porte sur un embrayage ayant une spirale d'embrayage hélicoïdale utilisant un actionneur mobile axialement. L'actionneur amène un élément d'amorce en contact avec un élément relativement mobile en rotation de telle sorte que l'élément d'amorce glisse contre l'élément mobile, ce qui amène l'amorce à tourner par rapport au support de l'embrayage.
