A high voltage driver with capacitive coupling that is useful in the presence of the high power supply ripple common with higher-voltage systems. It permits extreme ranges of duty cycle, but without the limitations of transformer magnetics, or the increased complexity of optical coupling methods. It is also robust in the presence of voltage transients created by high-voltage arcing to the output drive-line.

Cette invention concerne un circuit d'attaque haute tension à couplage capacitif pouvant être utilisé en présence de l'ondulation de l'alimentation haute puissance commune aux systèmes à tension supérieure. Ce circuit d'attaque permet d'obtenir des gammes extrêmes de facteur d'utilisation sans rencontrer les restrictions d'éléments magnétiques d'un transformateur, ou d'accroître la complexité de procédés de couplage optique. Il se révèle par ailleurs résistant en présence de phénomènes transitoires créés par la formation d'un arc haute tension sur la ligne de transmission de sortie.
