A new biodegradable polymer composed by poly(D,L)lactic acid (PDLLA) and Vitamin E (.alpha.-tocopherol) is disclosed.alpha.. This polymer shows a high degree of haemocompatibility compared to the original polymer (PDLLA) and is a good candidate as coating material of different biomaterials.

L'invention concerne un nouveau polymère biodégradable composé d'acide poly(D,L)lactique (PDLLA) et de vitamine E (.alpha.-tocophérol). Le polymère de l'invention possède un haut degré d'hémocompatibilité en comparaison avec le polymère original (PDLLA), ce qui en fait un bon candidat comme matériau de revêtement de différents biomatériaux.
