A holder device as disclosed for holding a trailing element (12) relative to a dovetail slot (14) of the slice chamber (16) of a headbox (18). The device includes a curved housing (20) having an upstream and a downstream end (22, 24). The upstream end (22) is secured within the dovetail slot (14). The downstream end (24) of the housing (20) defines an open ended slot (26) which extends in the cross-machine direction for the reception therein of the trailing element (12). A securing device (28) secures the trailing element (12) within the open ended slot (26).
