A hybrid panel fastener (10) for use in conjunction with a nut and cage assembly (100) for fastening and unfastening a composite access panel that is galvanically compatible with the composite access panel (AP), suitable for low observability applications, and high cycle usage includes a composite shank (20) member and a metallic sleeve member (30) integrated in combination. The composite shank (20) member includes an interface segment (22) having a peripheral engagement surface (22S), a body segment (24) contiguous with the interface segment (22), and a head (26) having a torque-input surface (28) contiguous with the body segment (24). The metallic sleeve (30) member has an externally threaded surface (32) and an integration bore (34) that is complementary to the peripheral engagement surface of the interface segment (22). The metallic sleeve member is mated with the composite shank (20) member by press fit insertion of the metallic sleeve member onto the interface segment wherein the wall defining the integration bore mechanically engages the peripheral engagement surface of the interface segment (22) to preclude relative rotation between the composite shank member (20) and the metallic sleeve member (30). A retention mechanism (50) for use in combination with the hybrid panel fastener (10) is mounted in combination with the composite access panel (AP) and operative to retain the hybrid panel fastener in combination with the composite access panel by mechanically engaging the hybrid panel upon threaded disengagement thereof from the nut and cage assembly.
L'invention concerne un dispositif de fixation hybride (10) pour panneaux, utilisé en association avec un système (100) d'écrou et de cage, pour fixer ou libérer un panneau d'accès composite. Ce dispositif est galvaniquement compatible avec le panneau d'accès composite, il convient bien à des utilisations où il faut réduire la visibilité, et il permet un nombre élevé de cycles d'utilisation. Il comprend une tige composite (20) et un manchon métallique (30) formant une pièce intégrée. La tige composite (20) comprend un segment d'interface (22) ayant une surface d'engagement périphérique (22S), un segment de corps (24) jouxtant le segment d'interface (22) et une tête (26) ayant une surface (28) permettant l'application d'un couple, jouxtant le segment de corps (22). Le manchon métallique (30) a une surface externe filetée (32) et un alésage d'intégration (34) qui est complémentaire de la surface d'engagement périphérique du segment d'interface (22). L'élément de manchon métallique est fixé à la tige en composite (20) par insertion forcée du manchon métallique sur le segment d'interface, la paroi définissant l'alésage d'intégration s'engageant mécaniquement avec la surface d'engagement périphérique du segment d'interface (22) pour éviter toute rotation relative entre la tige composite (20) et le manchon métallique (30). Un mécanisme de retenue (50) utilisé en combinaison avec le dispositif de fixation hybride (10) est monté sur le panneau d'accès composite et il permet de retenir le dispositif de fixation hybride sur le panneau d'accès composite en engageant mécaniquement le panneau hybride, après son désengagement par vissage du système d'écrou et de cage.
