The present invention provides a hydroelectric turbine comprising a stator and a rotor housed concentrically within the stator, the turbine comprising a circumferentially disposed array of magnets on a rim of the rotor, and wherein the stator is slotless in configuration and is formed from a wire winding as opposed to the conventional toothed laminations, the turbine further comprising an annular array of individual coils mounted on the stator concentrically inwardly of the wire winding, each coil being provided with a dedicated rectifier to convert AC current induced in the coil into DC, preferably for transmission to a remote location.
L'invention concerne une turbine hydroélectrique comprenant un stator et un rotor reçu concentriquement dans le stator, la turbine comprenant un réseau d'aimants disposés en suivant la circonférence d'un rebord du rotor, et le stator étant d'une configuration non fendue, et étant formé à partir d'un enroulement de fil par opposition aux stratifications dentées habituelles, la turbine comprenant en outre un réseau annulaire de bobines individuelles montées sur le stator concentriquement vers l'intérieur de l'enroulement de fil, chaque bobine étant pourvue d'un stator dédié pour convertir le courant alternatif induit dans la bobine en courant continu, de préférence pour la transmission à un site éloigné.
