A method and system for modelling electromagnetic phenomena in three-dimensions is formed by three-dimensional interconnection of two-dimensional HPP cells, with operations at the junctions between cells to model the propagator properties of the phenomenon such as polarisation. The incorporation of polarisation as a property is performed in dependence upon the field component to which a cell contributes. During collision, like polarised propagators interact and during advection, associated field components to an original cell and a destination cell are determinative of a transform of propagator properties.
