A lavatory cleansing block having a perceived approximately constant intensity of fragrance throughout the life of the block, which comprises an inner region comprising an inner fragrance and an outer region comprising an outer fragrance which is different from said inner fragrance, the inner fragrance being present in a concentration by weight which is less than or equal to 1.1 times the concentration of the outer fragrance.
