A thin, layered, absorbent structure comprises first and second layers (1, 2) of fibrous material and an intermediate layer (5) comprising particles of a hydrogelling, absorbent material (6) and particles of a thermoplastic, polymeric, organic material (7); the first and second fibrous layers (1, 2) extend beyond the intermediate layer (5) laterally to form longitudinal edge portions (8). The two fibrous layers (1, 2) are bound together with the intermediate layer (5) between them by the melting of the particles of thermoplastic, polymeric, organic material (7) and by means of a continuous line (10) of adhesive extending longitudinally on each longitudinal edge portion (8).
L'invention porte sur une structure adsorbante mince, en couches, qui comprend une première et une seconde couches (1, 2) de matériel fibreux et une couche intermédiaire (5) composée de particules d'un matériau hydrogel et adsorbant (6) et de particules d'un matériau organique, polymérique, thermoplastique (7); les première et seconde couches fibreuses (1, 2) dépassent latéralement la couche intermédiaire (5) afin de constituer des rebords longitudinaux (8). Les deux couches fibreuses (1, 2) sont liées ensembles, ainsi qu'avec la couche intermédiaire (5) par la fusion des particules de matériau organique, polymérique et thermoplastique (7) et au moyen d'une ligne continue (10) d'adhésif se prolongeant longitudinalement sur chaque rebord longitudinal (8).
