A leak preventive structure is provided for the case or housing of a surface combustion burner which uses a metallic or ceramic fiber mat, or a porous ceramic mat, as the burner element. The case has an open face and the lateral walls of the case are formed by ceramic fibers. The burner element closes the open face and the inside surfaces of the lateral walls are preferably coated or impregnated with a suitable sealant. The structure prevents fuel and combustion air from exiting the case from any portion other than from the combustion face of the burner element.
La présente invention vise une structure de protection contre les fuites pour enveloppe de brûleur à matelas de fibres métalliques ou céramiques ou de thermomousse, à diffusion de flamme. L'enveloppe comporte une face ouverte et des parois latérales formées de fibres céramiques. L'élément diffuseur ferme la partie ouverte et les surfaces internes des parois latérales sont de préférence enduites ou imprégnées d'un produit de scellement approprié. La structure en question empêche le combustible et l'air comburant de s'échapper par une partie de l'enveloppe autre que la face de l'élément diffuseur.
