A leakproof, resealable container and cap assembly (10), consisting essentially of a container (20) having a rim (22) at its upper portion and a cap (30) having a circular base (31) with an outer periphery, a cylindrical tubular skirt (33) having an inner wall with at least one recess (32), a thumb tab (36) for facilitating the opening and closing of the container (20), and a hinge (40) connecting the cap (30) to the container; and in a closed position, the skirt (33) of the cap overlies the container (30) and the rim (22) of the container (30) is situated within the recess (32) of the inner wall of the skirt (33) of the cap (30).

Cette invention concerne un récipient étanche ouvrable et son ensemble couvercle (10), composé pour l'essentiel des pièces suivantes : récipient (20) présentant un rebord (22) à sa partie supérieure et un couvercle (30) présentant une base circulaire (31) avec une périphérie extérieure, une jupe tubulaire cylindrique (33) dont la paroi intérieure présente au moins un renfoncement (32), une languette (36) qui facilite l'ouverture et la fermeture du récipient (20), et une charnière (40) reliant le couvercle (30) au récipient.
