A life safety alarm, for example a smoke alarm, that is battery powered, has an extended life, and is less prone to user mistakes. The batteries are sealed inside the alarm portion so that the batteries cannot be accessed by the user. As a result, the batteries are not replaceable. Rather, the alarm portion is replaced at the end of the alarm life, for example after expiration of a predetermined time period, such as ten years. The alarm is designed to be automatically activated upon initial attachment of the alarm portion to the bracket. The alarm can be manually deactivated, but once deactivated, the alarm cannot be reactivated and the alarm portion cannot be reattached to the bracket.
L'invention concerne une alarme de sécurité des personnes, par exemple un détecteur de fumée, alimentée par batterie, qui présente un durée de vie prolongée et est moins sensible aux erreurs de manipulation des usagers. Les batteries sont enfermées dans un bac hermétique placé à l'intérieur de la partie alarme, et sont donc inaccessibles aux usagers. Ainsi, les batteries ne sont pas remplaçables. C'est plutôt la partie alarme qui est remplacée à la fin du cycle de vie de l'alarme, c'est-à-dire au bout d'une durée préétablie, par exemple dix ans. L'alarme est conçue pour s'activer automatiquement lors de son arrimage initial au support. L'alarme peut être désactivée manuellement. Toutefois, une fois désactivée, l'alarme ne peut être réactivée et la partie alarme ne peut être réarrimée au support.
