The present invention relates to a passenger loading bridge, in particular to an apparatus for synchronising two motors used in raising the passenger loading bridge. Synchronisation is achieved by physically coupling the drive shafts of the motors together to ensure that the shafts rotate at a same speed. Each drive shaft is then coupled to a lift mechanism for lifting and lowering a side of the passenger loading bridge such that each side is lifted and lowered in union.
