Liquid-cooled discharge lamps of, for example, UV type are employed for sterilising int. al. packaging containers for foods. In lamps displaying a U-shaped luminant body and with a surrounding liquid container or envelope, cooling is improved according to the invention in that the base (2) is provided with inflow and outflow channels (7, 8) for liquid, an inflow channel (7) being directed towards the curved section of the luminant body (3). Hereby, cooling of the warmest section of the luminant body (3) will be optimised, which entails a considerably lengthened service life for the lamp.
La présente invention fait état de lampes à décharge refroidies par liquide, telles que des lampes à décharge de type à rayons UV servant, entre autres, à la stérilisation de contenants destinés à emballer de la nourriture. Elle améliore le refroidissement des lampes dotées d'un corps lumineux en U et entourées d'un réservoir ou d'une enveloppe à liquide, étant donné que la base (2) comprend des voies d'entrée et de sortie (7,8) pour liquide, et qu'une voie d'entrée (7) est dirigée vers la section courbée du corps lumineux (3).
