Described herein is a lock (1) for a door of a motor vehicle provided with: a closing mechanism (6) designed for coupling with a lock striker (2) along a direction (B) of relative coupling; a supporting body (4) of said closing mechanism (6) presenting a housing seat (5) for an engagement portion of the lock striker (2); and elastically compliant arrest means (30) delimiting the housing seat (5) at least in the aforesaid direction (B) of relative coupling in order to define a damped arrest of the engagement portion (3) of the lock striker (2). The arrest means (30) are coated on their surface, in the area of interaction with the engagement portion (3) of the lock striker (2), by a rigid protective shield (40).

L'invention porte sur un verrou (1) pour une portière de véhicule à moteur doté : d'un mécanisme de fermeture (6) conçu de manière à être relié à une gâche de verrou (2) le long d'un sens (B) de raccord relatif ; d'un élément de support (4) dudit mécanisme de fermeture (6) possédant un siège de logement (4) pour une partie d'engagement de la gâche de verrou (2) ; et de moyens de butée élastiquement souples (30) délimitant le siège de logement (5) au moins dans le sens susmentionné (B) du raccord relatif afin de définir une butée amortie de la partie d'engagement (3) de la gâche de verrou (2).
