The present invention relates to apparatus for a tool for investigating the wall of a borehole in a geological formation, the apparatus comprising: a non- conductive pad (3) having an inside face and an outside face for pressing against the wall; a set of measurement electrodes (6) mounted on the outside face of the pad and means for measuring the potential difference between two measurement electrodes; and both a source electrode (4) adapted to inject current into the geological formation and a return electrode (5), the set of measurement electrodes (6) being situated between the source electrode (4) and the return electrode (5) for the current; the apparatus being characterized in that the pad comprises an electrically conductive portion (8) covering the entire measurement electrode zone and electrically insulated from the measurement electrodes.
La présente invention concerne un appareil destiné à un outil permettant d'examiner la paroi d'un trou de forage présent dans une formation géologique, l'appareil comprenant : un bloc (3) non conducteur présentant une face interne et une face externe destinée à se trouver pressée contre la paroi ; un ensemble d'électrodes de mesure (6) installées sur la face externe du bloc et des moyens permettant de mesurer la différence de potentiel entre deux électrodes de mesure ; et une électrode source (4) adaptée pour injecter du courant dans la formation géologique et une électrode de retour (5), l'ensemble d'électrodes de mesure (6) étant placé entre l'électrode source (4) et l'électrode de retour (5) pour le courant. L'appareil se caractérise en ce que le bloc comprend une partie conductrice (8) qui recouvre toute la région de l'électrode de mesure et qui est isolée du point de vue électrique des électrodes de mesure.
