A piston for an internal combustion engine including a skirt (32) and a crown (34). The skirt includes a top portion (48) and a cylindrically-shaped wall portion (50) extending from the top portion defining a skirt cavity (82). The top portion includes upper and lower surfaces. The lower surface is configured to define a bearing surface (72) for the wristpin (98). The crown is coupled to the skirt and includes a lower surface in facing relation to the upper surface. The lower surface of the crown and the upper surface define a lubrication cavity (46). The top portion includes at least one inlet hole (84) adapted to supply a lubricant from the skirt cavity to the lubrication cavity. The top portion includes at least one lubrication hole (90) adapted to supply the lubrication cavity to the bearing surface and the wristpin.
L'invention porte sur un piston pour un moteur à combustion interne comprenant une jupe (32) et une couronne (34). La jupe comporte une partie supérieure (48) et une partie de paroi de forme cylindrique (50) qui s'étend depuis la partie supérieure définissant une cavité de jupe (82). La partie supérieure est dotée de surfaces supérieures et inférieures. La surface inférieure est configurée de manière à définir une surface porteuse (72) destinée à un axe de piston (98). La couronne est reliée à la jupe et comporte une surface inférieure qui fait face à la surface supérieure. La surface inférieure de la couronne et la surface supérieure de la jupe définissant une cavité lubrifiante (46). La partie supérieure comprend au moins un trou d'admission (84) conçu pour fournir un lubrifiant depuis la cavité lubrifiante vers la surface porteuse et l'axe de piston.
